New Song - My Beloved Parents
10th July 2009
Assalaamu'alaykum my dear brothers and sisters,I hope you are very well inshallah, and slowly bracing yourselves for the fast approaching Ramadhaan. :)
Alhamdulillah, I have just finished a song which is dedicated to all of our parents inshallah. I was actually inspired to write this when a sister approached me after a performance earlier this year and requested that I write a song which would help her remember her parents in a positive and happy light, since they had both passed away recently. May Allah bless her and her parents inshallah.
Sometimes, we forget how much our parents have done for us and how many sacrifices they have made for the sake of us alone. This is my humble way of showing my appreciation to them.
Oh Allah, take care of them like they took care of us,
Oh Allah, have mercy on them like they had mercy on us,
Oh Allah, forgive them their wrongs like they forgave our wrongs.
Ameen.
I hope you enjoy the track inshallah!

New Song - Put your Trust in Allah
28th April 2009
Assalaamu'alaykum brothers and sisters!Inshallah you are all well and in an even better state than the last time we met. :)
Just an update for you guys on a new track I have just finished. The track is called "Put your trust in Allah" and is based upon the du'aa of Istikhaara. The du'aa of Istikhaara was a prayer that Rasoolullah(SAW) taught us and encouraged us to pray when making any decision in life. The prayer is a beautiful one in which we ask Allah to guide us when making a decision.
I hope you all enjoy this song inshallah, and I look forward to updating with more tracks from the upcoming album inshallah!
Ma'assalaam,
Amir
New Song - As-Saabireen (The Patient Ones)
24th January 2009
Assalaamu'alaykum all, I hope you're all well and in the best state of health and imaan inshallah! :)I haven't done this bloggin for a while now since I've been a little busy trying to finish off the debut album inshallah...but alhamdulillah i'm here now! :)
Anyway, I thought I'd just update you guys about one of my new tracks that I've just finished off and posted up. It's a track called "As-saabireen" which means "The patient ones" in Arabic, and the word is repeated often in the qur'an praising those who are patient and stating that Allah(swt) is with them and there is much reward in being patient.
The inspiration behind this track was to write a song that would serve as a reminder for myself as well as my brothers and sisters that "Allah is with the patient ones" and that we all go through various personal problems in our lives where we feel sadness, stress, depression and sometimes grief. But all these trials are from Allah and a test for us, but Allah does not burden any soul greater than its capacity, so we should try and pass this test by having patience no matter how difficult it may seem to us, because Allah tells us that "with hardship come relief" and "Allahu-ma'assaabireen - Allah is with the patient ones".
I based the song on these concepts and I especially took inspiration from the story of prophet Yusuf (Joseph) A.S., where he went through so many trials and tribulations but always had patience, he even waited patiently for 40yrs for his dream of the "11 stars, the sun and the moon" to prevail and come true. Alhamdulillah all the prophets are great role models for us, and it's an honour to mention any one of them in a song.
Anyway, this track is dedicated to anyone who has been through a tough time in their life or is going through one currently - May Allah bless you all!
I hope you all enjoy the track inshallah!
Jazaakallahu khair!

New Song - "The Battle of Uhud"
5th July 2008
Assalaamu'alaykum once again!I've been in and out of the studios all week recording this new track...it's been alot of hard work!
The track is basically based around the story of the famous battle of Uhud, where the Muslims met with the Armies of Makkah for a 2nd time after defeating them at Badr.
Just a quick overview for those who aren't that familiar with the story: During the battle, the Prophet (SAW) placed a group of 50 archers in a strategic position on the side of a mountain so that the Makkan army couldnt coem rouns the back and ambush the muslims. They were told not to move from that position even if they saw the muslims winning the battle. But they disobeyed the prophet(SAW), and as a result the Muslims lost the battle.
The story is one of a great moral, where we should aim to follow the prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) and his sunnah inshallah.
Anyway, I hope you all enjoy this track inshallah!

New Song - "Don't you worry my sisters"
9th May 2008
Assalaamu'alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh,This track is about supporting the sisters in their long and difficult struggle whilst wearing the hijab. Sometimes we as brothers are not aware or forget how much some sisters go through just by observing the hijab.
Unfortunately, many of our sisters go through such pains just by covering themselves. People judge them, people discriminate against them, and they take a lot of abuse just because they follow the order of Allah of covering themselves. We can see this especially in Turkey, where many of our sisters are barred from entering governments buildings and universities wearing the hijab. Its disgusting.
This track is just my humble way of showing my support for the sisters and to let them know that the Ummah is united with them and extremely proud of them. :)
I know some of you will be wondering what the Arabic part of the song means : "Aydeenaa bi Aydeekunna, Hijaabukunna shi'aarul hayaa!"
"Our hands are with your hands, your hijab is a sign of modesty."
I hope you all (Brothers and sisters) enjoy this track inshallah, and remember our sisters in your du'aas inshallah.

New Wedding Song
12th March 2008
Assalaamu'alaykum all,Went down to the studios today to record a new track called ermmm....in fact I havent named the track yet! (looking for an embarrassed smiley!)Perhaps you guys can help me name it? In fact, why don’t you guys message me your suggestions and I’ll pick the best one inshallah and stick up a message to let everyone know that you’ve named it!
Ok, so let me tell you a little about the track inshallah...It’s a track based on marriage in Islam. It’s an upbeat track, to really lift the spirits of everyone during the marriage celebration, and talks about the various feelings and events that normally take place on our marriage days.
But the backbone of the song is in the chorus, which is based on a du’aa that the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) used to make when he greeted newly wedded couples.
"Baarakallahu lak Baarakallah, ’Alayka wa jama’a baynakumaa fee khayr."
"Blessings of Allah, May the Blessings of Allah be upon you both and join you both together and bring between you good."
Going back to the studios on Saturday inshallah to make a few adjustments and I will put it up for you guys to listen to on Saturday evening inshallah!
So take a listen when it’s up and fire your suggestions across to me!
Jazaakallahu khair
Amir
